Oxidization

Oxidization refers to the process of introducing free oxygen atoms, in the form of ozone, into the water.  Ozone is the most powerful oxidizer available for your pool.  It destroys bacteria, viruses, and algae in the water using the same method of as chlorine, but without any of the harmful byproducts of chlorine.  Ozone has the added benefit of causing oils and dead organic matter present in the water to clump together, making it easier for the pool's filter to remove them.

The Barramundi Pools system uses a corona discharge system to create oxidizing ozone.  As water flows through the oxidation chamber, a low voltage electrical current is sent to the titanium plates.  This creates ozone in the same manner as a bolt of lightning and is the most effective ozone generator available.
