Installation Step 1
Prepare the Pool and Plan the Installation
All newly constructed swimming pools require six weeks curing/settling time in which the Barramundi Freshwater Swimming Pool Management System should be operated using chlorine and oxidation only. Do not ionize newly constructed pools for six weeks. In concrete pools this can cause staining, in vinyl or fibre glass pools a slimy residue may occur.
When converting an existing saltwater chlorinated pool, draining the water is recommended but not compulsory. If the original water is retained salt residuals will take time to dilute before you achieve a truly freshwater pool. If your existing swimming pool system is anything other than chlorine or saltwater chlorination, contact your dealer for instructions.
- Ensure that the control box is close to the planned location of the ionization / oxidization chamber and the filter / timer power outlet for the cable to reach without straining.
- The control box must be placed in a sheltered location, i.e. not exposed to direct sunlight and rain. If the unit is not properly protected the warranty will be void.
- If the control box is mounted in a wet area, a weatherproof power outlet MUST be used. BarramundiPool Pty Ltd highly recommends the use of an earth leakage circuit breaker with this power outlet. Please consult a qualified electrician if you are not sure if this is fitted.
Step 1 » Step 2 » Step 3
Please contact your dealer with any questions relating to your Barramundi Freshwater Swimming Pool system. Pool shops supplying non-Barramundi systems do not have the experience to advise you correctly.
